Benjamin Oduro Arhin, popularly known as Bnoskka, has asserted that it is about time research is carried out in Ghana to assess the promises given by individual presidential aspirants and political party flag bearers.
According to him, research can be necessary because there have been too many promises made with the hope of bettering the creative arts industry in Ghana, and it’s obvious that an impact analysis is needed at this time of the year when a presidential election is coming on December 7, 2024, so that an evidence-based analysis can be presented to see what promises have been made in the past and how many were achieved right from the first republic to the current fourth republic multiparty.
In an interview with Asempa 94.7FM’s Adu Kumi, Bnoskka claimed that the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia, made a commendable comment about the creative arts during his presentation at the UPSA Auditorium.
He further added that the research, when done, will be able to give a fair review of the achievements made from political promises when the sayer got power and also the government institutions contributions in the creative arts industry to promote stakeholders’ efforts in creating jobs and generating income and growth for the creative economy of Ghana.
Bnoskka is a Creative Arts Business and Intellectual Property Consultant and also a lecturer at the Department of Music Education, School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba.
