The committee which was formed by the Ghana Ghana Football Association (GFA) to search for a new coach for the Black Stars has submitted their report and recommendations to the Executive Council of the FA.

The 5-member committee, was formed in January this year, following the early exit of the Black Stars from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Ghana’s abysmal performance saw them finish third in Group B with just two points, losing to Cape Verde and picking up a point each against Egypt and Mozambique, causing the GFA to sack head coach Chris Hughton.

The report, which was submitted on Tuesday, February 27, was received by the GFA President, Kurt Okraku.

The GFA in a communique on Wednesday, noted that the Executive Council will review the recommendations from the committee, and come to a conclusion on who to appoint as the next Black Stars coach.

It added that once the coaching decision is resolved, the GFA will engage the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as other key stakeholders for their support.

Meanwhile, reports in February suggested that former head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo is leading the race for the job.
