The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo through the Ministry of Education will on Monday, March 25, 2024 launch an initiative dubbed the “Ghana Smart Schools Project” aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in Senior High Schools across the country.
The project according to a statement signed by the Spokesperson for the Ministry is in line with the Ministry’s digitalization agenda and supports government’s goal of leveraging technological advancement to prepare Ghanaian students for the fourth industrial revolution.
“The Ghana Smart Schools Project is in fulfilment of the Education for Sustainable Development Agenda, which is considered a key driver for rapid socio-economic transformation”, part of the statement noted.
The project also includes the one student one tablet initiative which will see the distribution of tablets to students and contains learning resources in seven subjects according to Ghana Education Service (G.E.S).
With the introduction of this initiative, students are privileged to receive tutoring from some of the best teachers across the country and will be able to join a live session at a time from across the country.
