The Ghana Football Association (GFA), has charged Kumasi Aante Kotoko with misconduct following an incident that occurred during their premier league match against Nations FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
During the match, some fans of Kotoko threatened to physically attack the match officials, as they were not happy with some decisions.
According to a statement released by the GFA Regulatory Actions, the Porcupine Warriors have been charged with breaching Section 16 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and Section 34 (6) (d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.
This, according to the FA is as a result of behaviour of some supporters of Kotoko towards match officials.
It further states that social media commentary on match officials by the club’s handles constitutes misconduct.
They have however been given until Wednesday, March 27, to respond to the charges.
