Former player of the Black Stars, Laryea Kingston, has been appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), as the new head coach of Ghana’s U-17 men’s national team, Black Starlets.
Kingston formerly worked under Karim Zito, as the assistant coach of the Starlet, and will take over as the head coach.
He will be assisted by former Hearts of Oak captain, Jacob Nettey, and Nana Agyemang, who previously worked with Adenta United, Barbarossa Academy, the Lizzy Sports Complex Academy and ProGen Football Club.
Laryea Kingston has a rich of experience both locally and internationally, as he played for Ghana Premier League clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics.
He also between the year 2000 and 2010 featured for the senior men’s national team, the Black Stars, making 41 appearances.
The new technical team’s first assignment is to put together a side for the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra in 2024.
