Ghana’s national U-17 men’s football team, the Black Starlets have been paired in Group A alongside Ivory Coast and Benin for the upcoming 2024 West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Group B also houses Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo.
The draw was held on Friday, April 19, at the WAFU Zone B headquarters in Abidjan.
The Starlets will look to redeem themselves after they failed to progress to the final of the previous edition with this year’s tournament set to be held in Ghana.
The competition will kick off from May 15 to May 28th.
The competition will serve as qualifiers for the U-17 AFCON tournament to be played in 2025 with two of the finalists set to book their place.
