Tufohene of Deboase the Wassa East district capital in the Western Region, Nana Ekow Piabo IV, has expressed worry about the speeding rate of teenage pregnancies in the district capital (Daboase).
Nana disclosed that, the girls who are prey to such pregnancies are mostly between the ages of thirteen [13] and sixteen [16] and are also students.
Nana Ekow Piano IV revealed that, their investigations have shown that the “Aboboya, Okada and Pragia riders are responsible for the teenage pregnancies in the district.
He added that, the riders pick the teen girls to indomie and fried egg vendors and feed them which they later take them home to have sex with the girls which subsequently result in teenage pregnancies.
Nana Ekow Piabo IV also lamented that the rate of motor bikes accidents in the Wassa East district is alarming because most of the Aboboya and Okada riders are minors who by the laws of the country are not supposed to engage in such economic activities.
Nana Ekow Piabo IV, Tufohene of Daboase advised parents and guardians to put eagle eyes on their children particularly the females.
