The Chief of Bomfa, Nana Kwaku Twumasi, has won a land boundary litigation between him and four other Chiefs.

He was declared the winner by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who sat on the case at the Manhyia Palace on Friday, July 9, 2021.

Asantehene announced the verdict after a committee set up by him to inquire into the matter submitted its report.

The four Chiefs who lost the case are Nana Yaw Aboagye Poku, Abrade Mampontenghene; Nana Asenso Kofo Ababio, Adwumakaase Kesehene; and Nana Saaman Kwao, Oyoko Bremanhene.

There has been a land boundary dispute between the Chief of Bomfa and the four aforementioned Chiefs.

The case was brought to the Asantehene’s court at the Manhyia palace for resolution.

Announcing the verdict, Otumfuo said the four Chiefs share boundaries with Bomfahene on the Aboabo Wurakwasi and Owabi river bodies.

He warned the Chiefs not to cross the boundaries, enter the land and claim ownership from now onwards since the disputed land belongs to Bomfahene.

Otumfuo said those who have crossed the river boundaries and have already sold Bomfa land should avail themselves to Bomfahene for proper allocation to avert any future disturbances.

Asantenehene initially wanted to destool the chiefs but were spared because of the Queen Mothers of Banpenase and Mamponteng.
