The Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation has modernized 50 post offices across Ghana, upgrading 25 and refurbishing 25 as dedicated eServices centres.

This milestone is part of the World Bank-funded eTransform project, aimed at leveraging ICT for improved government service delivery and digital inclusion.

The upgraded post offices, strategically located for broader accessibility, are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for online transactions, electronic communication, and digital services.

This enhancement is expected to streamline administrative processes, improve service efficiency, and offer greater convenience for citizens.

The initiative also supports local economic activities by providing easier access to digital platforms for businesses and entrepreneurs.

The eTransform project has four components, focusing on policy, innovation, government data management, and national e-ID system development.

Through this project, Ghana is poised to strengthen its digital infrastructure, accelerate socio-economic growth, and bridge digital divides.

The ministry’s commitment to utilising ICT for sustainable development and empowerment of citizens is a significant step towards a digital Ghana.”
