Ghanaian artiste KiDi says his aim is to churn out good music for his followers and not necessarily about international awards.
He indicated that winning Grammy Awards is not part of his priority list as he is more focused on doing good songs that come from deep inspirations and a creative emergency.
“It more of been focused and doing the music than working towards awards like the BET’s and the Grammy’s, and this is just my philosophy as an artiste, I will also congratulate Burna Boy once again for his success but I believe if am focused on my music all other things will surely follow.”
However, KiDi admitted that it’s fulfilling for any African artiste to win an international award like the Grammy’s and the BET’s for recognition.
“I’m not focused on winning these awards but will produce good music to gain that global recognition we’ve all been praying for the past years now.”
“As an African artist, I keep saying that my philosophy is not to work towards the Grammys, BET, or any other awards, I believe that if I work hard, push hard and the music itself is speaking, everything else will fall in place for me. If my music lovers praise my song and make it big, it will cross boundaries and knock the doors of these international awards and open the doors for me.” He told Adesope Olajide on an Instagram live
