Legendary Highlife/Hiplife artiste, K.K Fosu has rendered an apology over a comment he passed during an interview on Hitz FM, explaining why he was absent from publicist John Claude’s funeral on Monday, July 22, 2024.
KK Fosu and colleague musician, Bless was involved in a fatal accident on on Saturday, May 25, 2024, on the Accra-Apam Highway road which claimed the life of John Claude Tamakloe, a blogger, who was also in the car with the musicians.
John Claude Tamakloe was laid to rest at Tema Community 2 on July 19, 2024, but the Chochomucho and “Sudwe” hitmakers did not show up raising a lot of scrutiny.
KK Fosu, speaking about the issue on a live radio interview with DJ Slim on Hitz FM stated that, he was not informed about the funeral, thus haven’t fully recovered and was not compulsory to attend the funeral.
“I didn’t know about his funeral. None of the family members told us about it. I also sustained injuries and I am still receiving treatment. So it was not compulsory for me to attend the funeral. I was not the one that killed the boy. It was just nice if we all came together but if you are angry with me, I don’t know what will happen to me I come to you. I would never allow any of my team members to represent me,” he said.
However, in a statement, KK Fosu has apologized indicating that, he was carried away by emotions during the interview and was pained after hearing people blame him for the incident
The ‘Anadwo Yede’ singer reiterated that his reaction was in bad taste and has since apologized to the family of the late publicist and Ghanaians.
He further called on the police to expedite investigations into the unfortunate incident.
