Vice President and flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that his administration, if he wins the 2024 Presidential election, will train about one million youth in the digital space, as a form of job creation to combat unemployment.
He highlighted the need for the country to move to the new digital industry, where all forms of jobs require the use and input of technology – based approach.
Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia was addressing a gathering of Local council of churches, Traditional leaders and Leaders of the Muslim Community in the Upper West Akyem capital, Adeiso, on Sunday, August 11 as part of his Eastern Regional tour.
“Nananom, I want to train one million youth in the digital space. Today, everything has become technology and so we must take our turn of the new digital space and create jobs for our youth. Once you can read and write, we will train you and you can sit in your home and work abroad”, he indicated.
The NPP flagbearer urged all the various religious factions to rally behind and vote massively to edge him to the Presidency to continue the works of the New Patriotic Party.
Osabarima Afari – Oduro, during his speech called on Dr. Bawumia to prioritize the development of Upper West Akyem and its environs.
