The Ghana Police Service has refuted claims suggesting the training of some military personnel at Kwahu in the Eastern Region for the 2024 general elections.
The service in a Facebook post hinted that investigations conducted found no evidence to support the claim.
“The Police have commenced an investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law”, a portion of the post read.
The Ghana Police Service also warned the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news, urging everyone to be responsible in their communications.
“We wish to caution the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news.”
