The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced the interruption of water supply to the eastern part of the Greater Accra region.
The interruption according to GWCL is as a result of a burst on the transmission line from the Kpong treatment plant to the Dodowa booster station.
Meanwhile, a statement from the water company indicated that the situation is under control as engineers are working to restore the water supply.
“The public is assured that barring any unforeseen predicament, the project will be completed by close of day of Wednesday, August 28, 2024”, the statement emphasized.
Ghana Water Company further added that it has put in place measures to serve affected areas so the impact will not be adverse.
Affected areas include; Oyibi, Dodowa, La, Osu, Airport residential area, Legon and other surrounding areas.
