An 18-year- old apprentice identified as Georgina Agyeman has been allegedly raped to death by an unknown gang at Anwiankwanta in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to sources, the lady was found with pants tied around her neck, the buttocks facing the sky and her jeans trousers partly removed, with blood stains on her private part and on the floor where she was forced to kneel in an uncompleted building at Abenkyim, a suburb of Anwiankwanta.
Information gathered suggest that, the gang offered the young lady a ride home.
The 18-year-old now deceased was not able to return home after she closed from work on Friday evening leaving her family and friends worried.
On Saturday, some residents embarked on a search and found her lifeless body in an uncompleted building on at about 4pm.
The incident has left residents in fear, with the people alleging that it is unsafe for women in the community to go out after sunset.
The body was however sent to the Bekwai Municipal Government hospital for autopsy.
Police have however arrested one individual connected to the incident.
