Fire has razed down over 20 wooden structures at Krofrom in the Manhyia North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Over 40 persons have been displaced after the fire swept the wooden structures.

The fire which started around 2 am on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, has destroyed properties worth millions of Ghana Cedis.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but the victims to the intermittent power outages experienced in the area.

Some of the victims in an interview said “We saw smoke inside one container shop so we called the Fire Service to come and control the situation”

According to the victims “We managed to control the fire from transferring to other wooden structures but all our efforts proved futile till the personnel from the Fire Service came to the scene”
