The Ashanti regional chairman of the Ghana National Association of Garages, [GNAG] Mr. Luqman Mohammed Nuhu Appiadu, has appealed to the government for the construction of roads en route to the magazine community.
In spite of the many promises made by this and previous governments, he said the problem of working in a dusty environment still persists. Adding to that, he said that has really affected their jobs.
Mr. Luqman Mohammed, however, called on non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders to help provide them with fire tenders and other logistics that have become a hindrance to their jobs.
‘‘My plea to the government is to assist us in fixing our roads. We cannot continue working in this dusty environment. In fact, it has affected our health and duties. Calling on NGOs and other stakeholders for aid in providing fire tenders for Garages community. We need support to develop magazine’’.
He made this known to the press at the swearing-in ceremony of the new executives of the Ashanti regional chapter of the Ghana National Association of Garages, while Mr. Luqman Mohammed Nuhu Appiadu went unopposed in the chairmanship slot.
He expressed his profound appreciation to the other newly elected regional executives for their victory, urging them to join hands to develop Suame Magazine.
