The Bekwai Municipality in the Ashanti Region is in shock following two separate tragic incidents within 24 hours.
A domestic dispute turned violent in Edwenase, Abodom, on Sunday , August 10, when a 38-year-old woman, Rebecca Appiah, was stabbed in the stomach by her husband.
The husband had accused Rebecca of infidelity, leading to the attack. After stabbing his wife, the husband attempted to take his own life by ingesting poison. Both are currently receiving treatment at the Bekwai Government Hospital, with the husband in critical condition.
Police have taken over the incident for further assessment and investigation.
