A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region, Mr. Amos Mensah has called for immediate resignation of the current member of Parliament for the Kwabre East constituency, Hon Francisca Oteng Mensah to pave way for Asamoah Gyan to bring development to the constituency.
According to Amos, Hon Francisca has disappointed the people of Kwabre East so there is a need for her to step aside and allow a benevolent soul like Asamoah Gyan, who also hails from the area, to continue.
Mr. Amos Mensah, who made these comments in an interview, said the MP has under performed adding that she promised to renovate a playing field located in one of the communities but has destroyed it.
“She does not deserve our votes again. She has disappointed us after we followed her and campaigned for her to win. We need to face the fact, the MP must go to pave way Asamoah Gyan and other equally benevolent ones to take the seat,” he stated.
However, he emphasized that, the lack of social amenities, such as schools, market, AstroTurf, hospitals etc in the constituency is due to the MP’s under performing acts.
“We are fed up with the MP, even common school block and other amenities have become headaches to the people of Kwabre because she doesn’t think about anyone, only her selfish interest. We are telling her to step down to allow someone to also continue”, he stressed.
