A young mother in her 20s was found murdered on Easter Monday at Tanoso Dominase in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District of the Ashanti Region, sending shockwaves through the quiet community.

Her body was discovered early in the morning of April 21, 2025, lying face-down in a pool of blood along a secluded, rough road.

Police say she suffered multiple stab wounds to her chest and hands, indicating a violent struggle.

Close to the scene, officers found an abandoned vehicle with the keys still in the ignition and mobile phones left inside. Investigators believe the attack may have taken place in or around the car, and preliminary evidence points to a possible struggle inside the vehicle.

Sources close to the young woman and her boyfriend told police that both of their phone numbers rang on the same device found in the car. This suggests the pair may have shared the phone and were likely together at the time of the incident.

Police have since identified the boyfriend as the prime suspect in the case. He is currently being sought for questioning as investigations continue.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released publicly, pending notification of her family.
