A 28-year-old man, Benjamin Kwabena AKA Wofa Atta has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for sexually abusing three young siblings at Ahenema Kokoben near Trede.

Wofa Atta is said to have lured the victims, an 11and 4 year old boy and a female twin who are children of Mary Aboagye, a 46-year-old charcoal seller.

The convict is said to have exploited the friendship of Mary and his elder sister to gain access to the children.

It is reported that Atta regularly visited the home of the victims with his bicycle, offering rides to the children.

He is said to have used his visits to establish a rapport with the victims to lure them to his home.

It is alleged that he sexually abused the first victim on 3 occasions, the second victim twice and the third victim once.

The abuse came to light when the youngest child, warned her brother not to follow the accused, revealing the misconduct to their mother which led to his arrest.
