According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Junior, a native of Ejisu Onwe, was widely known as a hardworking and diligent worker at the Kumasi Race Course.
Eyewitnesses suggest that Junior had returned home on the night of the attack with a significant amount of money, over GH₵200,000.
There is speculation that the killers may have been motivated by the large sum in his possession.
The police have launched an investigation into the murder, but no arrests have been made yet. The incident has left the community in shock.
Junior’s death has also reignited concerns over the security of mobile money vendors, who frequently handle large sums of cash and are often targets of armed attacks.
