One person has been burnt to death and another arrested for allegedly stealing goats and sheep at Esaso in the Atwima Nwabiagye North District of the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, travelling in a commercial bus are reported to have stolen six goats and six sheep.
Residents are said to have given them a hot chase, leading to a pursuit through nearby communities.
Upon reaching Marban, the suspects were confronted, and one of them was caught and lynched by the angry mob.
The suspect’s vehicle was also set ablaze. The other suspect managed to flee but was later arrested by the police and is currently assisting with investigations.
The stolen animals have been recovered.
