One more person has been arrested by the police in connection with the disruptions that took place during NDC’s regional elections in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
The police initially arrested 3 suspects, Yahya Shaibu Tia, Fati Ibrahim and Husien Yakubu alias Jarlune who are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
In a social media post, the Police revealed that the latest arrest of Bashiru Atta brings the number of persons arrested to four.
According to the police, “accused persons Yahya Shaibu Tia and Fati Ibrahim who were earlier arrested were on Monday, November 14, arraigned before the Atwima Akropong District Court.”
“Accused Yahya Shaibu Tia was remanded into Police custody to reappear before the court on November 21, 2022, while Fati Ibrahim was granted bail with three sureties.”
