The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the region.

According to the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, the first incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Krofrom, where the victim, Patricia Nimako, was fatally attacked, and an undisclosed sum of money was stolen.

The second incident took place on the night of Monday, March 10, 2025, when Gideon Owusu Sarpong, also known as Junior, was robbed and murdered at his residence in Kwadaso.

Following police investigations, three suspects—Charles Kwame Danso (alias Miame, 23 years old), Philip Foujour (29 years old), and Samuel Addae Mensah (42 years old)—were arrested on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim.

Speaking at a media briefing, DCOP Teye-Cudjoe stated that the suspects remain in police custody and will soon be arraigned before the court.

He also revealed that authorities are actively searching for a fourth suspect, Martin Amoah, also known as Augustine Amoah or Baba Macho, who is believed to be hiding in Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Diaso in the Central Region, or Accra.

The police are urging the public to assist in locating Amoah, with DCOP Teye-Cudjoe encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

“The Ashanti Regional Police Command remains committed to ensuring justice is served and urges the public to remain vigilant in helping bring all responsible individuals to justice,” he stated.
