The Ghana Police Service has begun an investigation into the shooting of three people by suspect Osman Majeed at Barniekrom near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.
The development comes after the Police on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2024 received information that, the suspect had shot three people claiming they were part of a group that had come to attack him.
However, the police in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, ACOP Grace Ansah-Ankrofi asserted that their team had visited the scene of the incident and conveyed the bodies of the three deceased persons to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The Police disclosed that efforts are underway to locate suspect Osman Majeed who is currently at large.
“We wish to urge members of the community to remain calm as investigation into the incident continues to get the perpetrator arrested to face justice”, the statement read.
