Seven people have died in a tragic road accident involving three vehicles at Dompoase near Fomena in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.
The collision occurred on Wednesday and involved a Sprinter bus, an A1 VIP bus, and a Toyota Corolla.
Eyewitnesses report that the crash happened along a busy stretch of road, though the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the police.
Emergency services responded quickly, with the bodies of the deceased transported to the Fomena District Hospital morgue.
Several injured passengers were taken to the St. Benito Hospital in Dompoase and the Fomena District Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have yet to release the names of the victims as efforts are underway to contact their families.
Local residents and drivers have expressed concern about the safety of the road, calling for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and better road conditions to prevent future tragedies.
