The Ghana Association of Garages in the Ashanti Region has issued a severe warning to the Christ Apostolic Church and others not to infringe on land owned by the artisans in Kumasi Asafo Zone 16.
According to the Leadership of Garages Zone 16, Christ Apostolic Church is aiming to encroach on land that has been completely designated as Zone 16 by Executive Instruments by the government since 1989, and the artisans are prepared to oppose such a move by the church.
Speaking in a press conference, the artisans at Asafo Zone 16 under the Ghana National Association of Garages, Mr. Benjamin Ackah, said the land is a bona fide property of Garages Zone 16 with the requisite documents, and they are ever ready to fight for it with their last blood.
He said the church claimed they have a lease on part of the land that has the name Plot 5A, but Mr. Benjamin Ackah stressed that there is no existing Plot 5A on the land site plan and that they should avoid the attempt at unlawful entry to the land.
