A suspected thief has been lynched to death at Apatrapa-Pokukrom in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The lifeless body of the unidentified man believed to be in his 30s was found in the community by the roadside.

Speaking with Mr. Martin Acheampong, Unit Committee Chairman of the area, he disclosed the deceased is not known in the community.

According to him, some residents in the community said they suspected the deceased to be a thief but luck eluded him this dawn when he attempted to rob in the vicinity.

Sources say, the suspected thief was beaten mercilessly with sticks, stones and stabbed multiple times to death.

Items found him included three unused cartridges, cutlass, talisman and short knife.

The body of the deceased has been deposited in morgue.

The Police is yet to make any arrest since it has become difficult to identify those who lynched him.
