The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey has presented Mr. Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana with copies of the recently launched Ecotourism Handbook.

This happened when Mr. Santana paid a courtesy call on Mr. John Allotey to show his support and also to help promote the Ecotourism sector of the country.

The Ecotourism Handbook gives information on the various Ecotourism sites in the country. It displays pictorial views of the sites and goes a step further to indicate the Ecotourism sites managed by the Wildlife Division, the Ecotourism sites managed by the Forest Services Division both within the Forestry Commission and even those that are not managed by the Commission.

A QR Code has been developed and is provided in the Handbook for the sites managed by the Wildlife Division of FC to ensure that tourists locate the various Ecotourism sites with ease.

In a conversation with Mr Santana, the Chief Executive urged him to continue to be an advocate for Ecotourism development as that will help provide the much needed funding for the development of the sector.

Mr Santana continued that his firm, Kaya Tours Ghana Limited, will work hand in hand with the Commission to help promote Ecotourism.
