The second suspect who was arrested along with Richard Appiah in connection to the Abesim murder has been released by the police.

On 20th August 2021, Appiah was arrested in connection to the murder of three (3) boys whose bodies had been kept in a double-door fridge in his room. It was alleged that he had murdered his step brother and other two little boys aged 12 and 15 years.

“Appiah was arrested after a relative of one of the victims had reported to the Sunyani Police about his missing son on August 20, 2021. The second suspect, whose name has been withheld by the police, was arrested in connection with the murder,” sources reveal.

According to investigations, the second suspect whose name has been withheld, reveals that he has no connection with the death of the three boys. therefore, he has been released. The main suspect, Appiah is set to appear before Kaneshie magistrate court on a provisional charge of two counts of murder on 15th September 2021.
