Abetifi MP holds end of year dinner for Civil and Security services in Kwahu East

The Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency, Hon. Dr. Bryan Yaw Acheampong, has organised an end-of-year dinner for civil and security services personnel serving in the Kwahu East District.

The business mogul and politician held the party on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his Grandiose Ultimate Rock City Hotel in Nkwatia.

The event was to honour the security services, including the police, immigration, fire service, and prisons, for their immense contribution towards ensuring the safety of the people in the district.

“For us in Kwahu East, we must show gratitude. For a very long time, we’ve never had security issues. Not even a signal day has there been any security challenges. This shows that you’re doing well and must be commended. I know there are challenges in the discharge of your duties, thus dealing with operations, and as your MP, I shall be available to provide my very best to ensure the safety of our people”, he stated.

Other stakeholders that benefited from the MP’s gesture were all the civil service agencies working in the Kwahu East District.

In his address, the Abetifi MP pleaded with all civil servants and security personnel to step up and serve Kwahu East diligently.

According to him, all the civil and security services staff in Kwahu East have contributed a lot to the betterment of security and the delivery of services by civil servants in his jurisdiction, and they equally deserve to be appreciated.

A total of 400 personnel were drawn from the various security services and civil service staff in the Kwahu East District.

Dignitaries present at the event over the night was the District Chief Executive of the Kwahu East, Hon. Isaac Agyapong and the top security hierarchy in the area, including the Eastern-North Regional Police Commander.

The MP further charged the personnel and civil service officials to enact resilience and good communication among themselves and the people they serve.

“I’m charging all of you to exercise professionalism in your line of duty, and show tolerance among each other, it is so doing that we can ensure a safer environment environment in our district”.
