Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has gone silent and into hiding after Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Agriculture Minister and beneficial owner of Rock City Hotel Limited, threw a challenge his way.

Ablakwa had alleged that Rock City Hotel, which acquired a majority stake in SSNIT-owned hotels, was making losses, but Acheampong’s bold response has turned the tables.

Dr Acheampong’s challenge, which dared Ablakwa to produce the documents he claimed to have intercepted from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has exposed Ablakwa’s lack of evidence and credibility.

The minister’s offer of a Trasacco house and a hotel as a reward has further highlighted Ablakwa’s desperation and weakness. Ablakwa’s disappearance from the public eye and his inability to respond to Acheampong’s challenge have raised questions about his credibility and the opposition’s motives.

The public is eagerly waiting for Ablakwa to substantiate his claims or admit defeat. The developments have added a new layer of intrigue to the ongoing debate about the SSNIT hotel sale, which has become a highly politicized issue.

The outcome of this exchange will have significant implications for the government, Rock City, and the opposition.

The nation waits with bated breath for the next development in this unfolding saga. Dr Acheampong’s challenge has also raised questions about potential conflicts of interest, as his role as Agriculture Minister and beneficial owner of Rock City Hotel Limited has drawn scrutiny.

The opposition has been quick to point out potential irregularities in the sale process, which the government has denied. In the end, Acheampong’s bold challenge has exposed Ablakwa’s weak hand, and the nation waits to see if Ablakwa will produce the documents or retreat from his claims.

The outcome will have far-reaching implications for all parties involved.

Meanwhile, on Friday, June 21, during Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa displayed a forged document, claiming he obtained it from GRA.

Hon. Egyapa Mercer rebutted Ablakwa’s lies against the Food and Agriculture Minister.

“Bryan Acheampong did not violate the constitutional provisions,” Egyapa Mercer noted
