Residents, commuters, and motorists within the Ablekuma West Municipality can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the long-defunct traffic lights at Mama’s Inn have officially been restored and are now fully operational after over 12 years of inactivity.

The restoration of the traffic lights marks a major improvement in road safety, traffic management, and pedestrian movement along the busy stretch, which for years posed serious concerns to residents and road users.

This intervention reflects the renewed commitment of the leadership of Ablekuma West toward addressing long-standing infrastructural and public safety challenges within the constituency.

In addition, strong collaboration between key stakeholders and the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Hon. Rev. Dr. Kwaku Addo, continues to yield visible development outcomes across the constituency.

Rev. Dr. Kwaku Addo has also overseen significant infrastructure improvements, including the ongoing construction of pavement alleys in several communities to complement road networks and enhance accessibility, mobility, and environmental conditions. Notable beneficiary areas include Zodiac, Akuko Foto, Shiabu, Glefe, and adjoining communities.

Furthermore, under his coordination and advocacy, major road maintenance works have been undertaken, including the patching of potholes and repairs along key highways within the constituency.

In addition, several faulty street lights across multiple electoral areas and major streets have been fixed, while new street lights have been installed to enhance safety, improve visibility, and strengthen security within communities.

It is also expected that in due time, additional traffic lights within the municipality will be restored as part of the ongoing phased infrastructure improvement plan.

These interventions reflect a coordinated development agenda aimed at improving basic infrastructure and enhancing the daily lives of residents across Ablekuma West.

Indeed, Ablekuma West is witnessing steady progress through collaborative leadership and development -focused governance.
