Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe Abronye has been rearrested again for publication of false news.
Abronye DC has since been granted ₵1 million bail with two sureties after his re-arrest for allegedly claiming that Police took money from Kennedy Ohene Agyapong to influence his arrest and court appearance. He is charged with publication of false news intended to cause fear and panic, and offensive conduct with insulting language.
His arrest comes barely a month after being set free on bail by an Accra circuit court over charges of publication of false news and offensive conduct.
He was rearrested on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
This will be the second time the NPP Bono Regional Chairman is being arrested in a span of three weeks.
