The Accra Circuit Court has, for the second time, remanded New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, into police custody for one week.

This followed his reappearance before the court on Friday, September 12, 2025, after an earlier remand on Wednesday, September 9.

The court explained that the decision was to allow prosecutors sufficient time to conduct further investigations into the case.

Speaking to reproters after the proceedings, the NPP’s National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, vowed that the party would stage continuous protests until what they describe as “true justice” is served.

Abronye was arrested on Monday, September 8, over what the police described as “offensive conduct conducive to the breach of public peace.”
