The Parliamentary candidate for the Action People’s Party (APP), David Ankomah, has lawfully secured a court injunction to restrain the electoral commission from conducting the upcoming Akwatia by-election scheduled for September 2, 2025.

The party contests that their PC was wrongfully disqualified from the race although he had satisfied all the requirements, which include a tax clearance form.

David Ankomah noted that the EC’s decision to disqualify him from the Akwatia race was allegedly actuated by malice and fraud.
