The Cape Coast District Court 2 presided over by His Worship Eric Oheneba Antwi Boasiako has granted bail to the Adisadel College student who assaulted a colleague.
In court on Friday, July 28, 2023, the court did not have the required number of individuals to sit as a jury on the case hence it ruled that the student reappears on August 2, 2023.
The student was arrested and cautioned for causing harm and assault after a viral video showed an incident of the student violently attacking another colleague in a dormitory.
Both the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service have condemned the act and called on all school authorities across the country to see an end to any form of bullying.
The Education Ministry has also set up a team to investigate the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim has been recalled to the school after he was initially suspended and is being taken care of.
