The Chief of Adjen Kotoku in the Ga West Municipality of the Accra Region, Nii Quaye Chumor II has appealed to the Government to provide the community with street lights, public toilets and good roads.

He said this during a press conference to officially welcome Agbogbloshie onion traders to the Kotoku market.

According to the chief, the appeals comes at the back of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey ordered some traders including onion sellers to relocate from the Agbogbloshie market to Adjen Kotoku Market.

The chief appealed to the government to put measures in place to ensure that the Kotoku township and its roads have street lights to prevent robbers from attacking traders who will be travelling to Adjen Kotoku market.

The Chief, Nii Quaye Chumor added that the provision of public toilet will prevent open defecations and to foster the sanitation agenda in the town.

To reduce vehicular traffic, Nii Quaye appealed to the government to construct their link roads to ease the traffic congestions.
