Aduana Stars registered their seventh win of the season against Kotoku Royals yesterday, to stay top of the Betpawa Premier League.
Two first-half goals were enough for the Dormaa-based club to pick all points, to extend their lead on the table after Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s disappointing draw against Tamale City on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Emmanuel Gyamfi and Stephen Anokye Badu.
The victory means Aduana is now on 24 points, four points ahead second place Kotoko and third place Accra Hearts of Oak who all have 20 points respectively.
Accra Hearts of Oak dropped more points following a goalless draw against King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Both teams created many chances in either half of the game but failed to put any at the back of the net.
The Phobian club will play Samartex next on Sunday afternoon.
