Head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has disclosed that he will make a decision on Mohammed Kudus’ availability to play against Egypt on Thursday.
The 23-year-old was absent in Ghana’s first group match against Cape Verde on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of Ghana’s match on Thursday, Chris Hughton stated that the West Ham midfielder will be evaluated by the medical staff tomorrow before a decision is made.
“Mohammed Kudus as most are aware, he joined camp later than anybody else because of an injury that he sustained in his last game for West Ham. We will continue to assess him. He has trained in the last few days but we will assess him today and tomorrow and make decision,” he said.
Ghana’s campaign in this year’s AFCON will heavily depend on them picking all three points against Egypt, as they lie bottom of Group B with no point.
