Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, has described Ghana’s 2-2 draw against Egypt on Thursday night as a very frustrating one.
West Ham star, Mohammed Kudus, who missed Ghana’s first game against Cape Verde announced himself with a brace on his return against the Pharaos.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, Chris Hughton stated he believed his team was the better side on the night and deserved to grab all three points.
“Of course, it’s very frustrating because I felt we deserved to win the game. What I asked of the first performance against Cape Verde, I asked the players for a better performance, more commitment, more running, to give ourselves a better chance of putting a performance to win this game,” he said.
Ghana gave away two goals through individual mistakes in the second half, but Chris Hughton added that “I don’t think I can fault the players, I don’t think I can fault the attitude and the way they applied themselves to the game and at the moment, the dressing room is a very disappointed dressing room because I think this was a really good opportunity for us to get three points.”
