Four armed robbers have attacked a Momo vendor at Ekye-Amanfrom in the Afram Plains South district of the Eastern Region.
According Bright Gborglah Gadeka, a local radio journalist who spoke in an interview with Kwame Koranteng on Anɔpa Dawuro on Republic Fm, the incident happened at a filling station at about 7 to 8pm near the Ekye-Amanfrom new market on Saturday evening whiles it was raining.
The reporter indicated that an eye witness who was identified as Solomon Ahenkorah gave an account as to what actually transpired on the Saturday evening. According to him, four strong men wearing nose masks stormed the momo vending shop belonging to one Samuel Agbozo.
He revealed that, the glass container in which the operator was conducting his daily activities from was broken down by the robbers who made away with some cash and mobile phones.
He noted that, the robbers attacked another provision shop and made away with their monies whiles they continue to shoot sporadically.
The reporter noted that, an innocent civilian who has been identified as Bright Narh had gone to buy and had no knowledge of what was happening at that very moment was hit by one of the many stray bullet and fell off from his motorbike and died instantly.
“One civilian identified as Bright Narh who had no idea of what was happening was shot in the process and died whiles he was returning from town after buying food and on his way home” he told Kwame Koranteng.
The Police in the Afram Plains South have subsequently assured the people of maximum security and that the situation would be brought to normalcy.

Meanwhile, the momo vendor, Samuel Agbozo in an interview with Kwame Koranteng revealed that he had closed from the shop around 6pm and left his employees at the shop.
According to him, he returned to the shop after one guy called him that he wants a mobile phone to buy.
He said immediately he reached home again, he heard a gunshot and after four to five minutes, his employee called and inform him of a robbing incident.
He noted that a huge sum of money amounting to over Gh5,000 cedis have been taken away together with mobiles phones on sale at his shop.
Mr Samuel Agbozo revealed that an initial report has been filed with the police pending an investigation whiles one person has been grabbed on the intelligence of being a suspect.
