The 2024 edition of the Africa Energy Forum (AEF), is currently underway at Fira de Montjuic, Barcelona, Spain.
A global investment meeting for Africa’s energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors, the forum presents an opportunity to position Ghana favourably as the investment destination of choice.
At a Ministerial Roundtable earlier on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, African Energy Ministers delved into “Energy Systems for the Future” within the overarching context of balancing Africa’s needs with global goals.
With heads of the energy sector, primarily in the power subsector, Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh also met with the UK Trade Commissioner for Africa.
Discussions centred around strategically positioning our energy sector for the necessary investments, especially from the UK, under the aegis of the Powering Africa program.
