Afiryie Barnieh has signed a new deal to extend his stay at Accra Hearts of Oak, the club announced on Tuesday.
The Hearts of Oak forward’s contract expired in December 2022, after he refused to sign a new contract with the club, with many reports suggesting that some clubs in Europe want his signature.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have announced that Afriyie has signed a contract extension but did not indicate how many years he will stay at the club.
According to the Phobian club, details of the contract will be communicated in due time.
Barnieh joined Hearts club in 2019 from lower tier side, Madina Republicans and has since won the Ghana Premier League, 2 FA Cups, President Cup, and Super Cup with the team.
The striker is currently with the Black Galaxies team and is in line to play in the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria.
