The Ghana Tourism Authority has signed an MOU with the AFROCHELLA Team to strengthen the existing conversation on promoting Ghana’s tourism potentials.
AFROCHELLA is a Ghana-based festival designed to highlight and elevate talents from and within Africa. The festival features a festive celebration of the Ghanaian culture in the form of art and fashion installations, the best of African cuisine, live performances, among others.
Tourism Minister, Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, said with the signing of the MOU, the country is expecting about one million tourists which will boost its economy and create jobs.
Chief Executive Officer, AFROCHELLA, Abdul Karim Mohammed Awal Abdullah, said the festival is one that celebrates the African culture as a whole, and signing the MoU with the GTA is a further step to improving on its mandate.

Abdul Karim Abdullah is the CEO and one of the minds behind the acclaimed Ghana-based event, Afrochella. As an adventurous kid, growing up between the Bronx, New York and Accra in Ghana throughout his youth, Abdul was captivated by the beauty in the Ghanaian culture.
Afrochella takes place each year between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
