As the internal party activities of the New Patriotic Party begins to take a nose – dive after the 2024 general elections defeat, a lot of difficulties, insinuations, gerrymandering and reconciliation have taken the center stage of the party with Dr. Bawumia touring every part of the country to meets party executives.

The internal bickering and squabbling between supporters of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong has brought unnecessary tension within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after elections with both sides pressing each other for the party’s defeat. While the Bawumia faction accuses Team Ken for their leader’s utterances meted out to Bawumia after the party’s presidential primary in November 2023, the Ken factor in a twist, accuses Bawumia for his economic deviations as chairman of the Economic Management Team that pummeled the country into a ditch.

What should be a democratic process of choosing a flagbearer has turned into a battleground of insults, division, and unhealthy competition. As the party prepares for a crucial election season with the selection of Constituency, Regional and National Executives, one must ask himself: is the choosing a leader who will become a unifier or one who will deepen cracks?

In times like this, Ghana and the NPP need a new face, someone with no flips from these internal conflicts. A neutral leader who commands respect across all factions. A person whose record speaks not just of competence, but of compassion, morality, and vision. That person is Hon. Bryan Acheampong.

Bryan Acheampong stands tall as a symbol of unity and progress. In the world of politics, he has proven himself as a diligent, calm, and strategic leader. In the corporate world, his entrepreneurial spirit has led to success stories that employ hundreds of people and contributes to Ghana’s economic growth. His philanthropic work is a testament to his heart for the people, touching lives behind close doors across the country.

He brings something no contender can offer at this moment such as neutrality, maturity, and peace. While both Dr. Bawumia and Kennedy have their strengths, their candidacies have become polarizing. The party risks losing more than just unity, it risks its integrity and the trust of the Ghanaian people.

Bryan Acheampong represents a fresh chapter. A man of action with a heart for service. A unifier who listens more than he speaks, but when he acts, his results are felt far and wide.

For the sake of the party’s unity, and the nation’s progress, the NPP must boldly reject division and embrace a new direction. Let Ghanaians rally behind Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the leader who can bring the nation together and lead Ghana into a future of prosperity and peace.
