The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku has outlined a number of measures put in place to boost food production nationwide.
He mentioned that some of the initiatives such as crop development, which aims to boost productivity in grains, legumes, vegetables, starchy crops using SMART Agriculture.
He added that key interventions such as improved seeds, mechanization, irrigation, storage, and training has been put in place to address low yields, high post-harvest losses, and climate challenges.
Hon. Eric Opoku made this known when he appeared before the House to answer a number of questions relating to his Ministry.
