Ahafo: Girls in ICT beneficiaries compete after Training

The first batch of the Girls undergoing training in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Goaso, a suburb of Ahafo Region wrote a Qualification Exams on 20th May, 2022.

The first batch of the Girls undergoing training in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Goaso, a suburb of Ahafo Region wrote a Qualification Exams on 20th May, 2022.

The 480 female students selected from the three District namely (Tano South, Asutifi South and Tano North), are the first batch of the 1000 girls expected to be trained in the region.

The qualification exam is expected to enable the supervisors select the best female students for the inter-district (practical exam), slated for 21st May 2022.

The best female students selected after the qualification exams had their inter-district (practical exams) today at seven centres namely: Duayaw Nkwanta RC, Duayaw Nkwanta Methodist school, Kanyasi number 2, Gambia number 1, Bechem SHS Techiman-tia SHS and Derma.

Meanwhile, the Team MOCD, AITI-KACE and GIFEC on Tuesday, 17th May 2022, visited some Centres where training of the Girls is ongoing.

The purpose is to monitor the teaching processes and to find out if the Girls understand what they are being taught.

Centres visited are: Pomaa, Duayaw Nkwanta RC, Yamfo, Duayaw Nkwanta North, Ankaase Community Basic School, Derma SHS, Techiman-tia SHS and Bechem SHS.

Continuing the monitoring work, the team on Thursday, 19th May 2022 visited five Centres in the Asutifi North.

Centres visited include: Ntotroso Methodist school, K’muoho DA Basic school, Kanyasi number 1 Anglican Basic, D/A Girls model school, Kanyasi number 2 and Methodist JHS.
