A 30-year-old pregnant woman, Susana Fosuaa Agyeman, has tragically lost her life after being struck by an articulated truck in the Ahafo Region.
The accident occurred at around 4:30 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Noberkow, located within the Asunafo South District. Agyeman was reportedly getting out of a taxi when she was struck by the truck, which was carrying a load of wood. Eyewitnesses say the vehicle, registered AS 636-14, was traveling at high speed and blew its horn as it approached.
Williams Asare, who was at a nearby Indomie vendor’s stall, described the terrifying scene. “We were seated when we heard a loud noise. The truck came speeding down the road, honking its horn. At that moment, the pregnant woman stepped out of the taxi, and we shouted at her to move. She tried to step back but fell. The truck couldn’t stop in time, and it ran over her.”
The collision was devastating. Agyeman’s body was torn apart, with her internal organs exposed, and her unborn child also lost in the crash. Her remains were gathered with a shovel and later transported to the morgue.
